BARNWELL COUNTY, S.C. -- Barnwell 45 Superintendent Roy Sapough says a school bus was not involved in an accident Wednesday morning.

Two cars collided and came within inches of the bus.

We're told children were on the bus at the time of the accident, but no one was injured.

The district sent a second bus to the scene to transport the students to school. This way, the first bus could remain at the scene while the police department investigated the accident.

People in the other vehicle were transported to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
