Brittany, please....this man hit a child and then drove off. The mother does not deserve to get charged. If would have been different if he would have stayed there, he still would have went to jail driving with a suspended license. So what if she was in the road, he still hit and ran, which is morally wrong whether it be a child or an adult. You have to understand that he was wrong, and now he has to pay for what he has done. God will forgive him.

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. I complained about teens and unsupervised toddlers refusing to move out of the road in our well-traveled subdivision and taunting you when you had to idle your car to poke along behind them so you didn't get hit trying to go around them (short sight distances), that I often turned around and went completely around the block to come into my driveway from another direction to avoid them. Who has the time or the money to keep doing that? Authorities suggested I talk to their parents. Believe me you don't want to do that. I don't talk to parents who can't say one sentence without using two vulgarities, even when they are in a GOOD mood. One of the families moved to a lesser-traveled street nearby and the MOM managed to get hit by one of her new neighbors. I rest my case.

It's a sad situation to see a human being hit an innocent child and drive off. The mother was right there with her child, but it could have happened to any of us. And as for Brittany, sweetie HE needs to go to jail, not the mother. Check your morals. God forgives us all.

I am afraid this is going to happen on my street Parick ave in Heph The cars go very fast up and down this Street even though we have a 4 way stop I have seen more car run this stop sign then red light . We have a lot of children that walk .play and ride there bikes and skate boards on Patrick ave these people do not care Most of them are drug related people young adults who know better but do not care .They even swirve there cars at the young people and think it is funny .We have a lot of children that wait for busies at this Stop sign . And at there houses even that early in the morning the loud cars with there radios Are at no slower speed. They people driven so fast dont look or slow down for nothing. I am only glad that the 10 to 15 squires that are killed every week is not someones child
