August 23, 2007

AUGUSTA, Ga.---A Warren County elementary school music teacher is in the hospital after a bad wreck this morning.

At time of writing, Marilyn "Betty" Campbell was in critical condition at MCG.

The accident happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Highway 43 and Fishman Road in McDuffie County. Georgia Highway Patrol officers say it involved Campbell's car, which had been traveling north on Highway 43, and a tractor trailer driven by Tellysavakos Tucker that was heading south.

Campbell was airlifted from the accident. Tucker was okay.

The wreck is still under investigation.
