DENMARK, S.C. -- A 7-year-old boy is in stable condition after being hit by a car Monday night.
The Denmark Police Department says the 7-year-old was riding his bike along Maple Avenue when a 16-year-old girl driving an SUV hit the boy.
The boy was taken to a hospital in Columbia, where he's being monitored. He is said to have injuries to his head and lungs.
So far, authorities are not releasing the names of the boy or the teen accused of hitting him, since they are juveniles.
No word on charges just yet.
