The Georgia Department of Transportation announces that temporary lane closures will be in place on State Route 104 (Washington Road) at Gibbs Road beginning Wednesday, January 24, and going through Monday, January 29, for milling and paving. Lane closures will begin at 9:00 am and end at 5:00 pm each day.
These lane closures involve eastbound lanes of Washington Road. Traffic will be shifted to alternate open lanes during this time.
Although officials are anticipating lane closures continuing through Monday, all lanes will open to traffic if work is finished prior to that time.
As with all road construction, motorists are advised to use extra caution in construction work zones and to use extra caution in the area of the intersection.
