The Georgia Department of Transportation announces that temporary lane closures will be in place at the intersection of State Route 104 (Washington Road) and Gibbs Road (County Road 99) beginning Monday, December 11, and going through Wednesday, December 13. Lane closures will begin at 10 am and end at 3 pm each day.
Monday, December 11, the northbound lane and shoulder of Gibbs Road will be closed. Traffic will be shifted to the southbound lane.
Monday, December 11, through Wednesday, December 13, alternating lanes on State Route 104 (Washington Road) eastbound and westbound lanes will be closed. Traffic will be shifted to the open lanes. One lane of traffic will be open at all times on both eastbound and westbound lanes of Washington Road.
As with all road construction, motorists are advised to use extra caution in construction work zones and to use extra caution in the area of the intersection.
