AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Two people have been transported to the hospital with serious injuries after a driver ran a red light on Sunday.
The accident happened after 1 p.m. at Walton Way and Druid Park Avenue in Augusta.
We are told the driver of a blue van traveling eastbound on Walton Way ran a red light and hit a black truck while turning left from Druid Park Avenue.
Officials say two people in the black truck had to be extricated and may have serious injuries.
Two people in the blue van sustained minor injuries.
