19-year-old killed in overnight I-520 crash

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A 19-year-old is dead after an accident early Sunday morning.

It happened on westbound I-520 at Glenn Hills Drive around 3 a.m. The teen has been identified as Jeffrey Baine Yates of Grovetown.

Toxicology results are pending.

Yates was said to not be wearing a seat belt.

Deputies say speed may have played a factor.
