AIKEN, S.C.---There was a bad head-on wreck involving two cars last night in Aiken County.

New information from the South Carolina Highway Patrol gives some more details today.

Troopers say Dominique O'Connell of Graniteville was driving a Dodge. He was wearing a seatbelt, and flown by medical helicopter to MCG Hospital in Augusta.

The other car, a Honda, was driven by Dave Lee Robinson of Aiken. He was also flown to a hospital by medical helicopter.

Several other people were trapped inside the cars for awhile after the wreck.

The Highway Patrol says the weather was clear at the time and the roadway was dry. The Patrol is investigating, along with an accident reconstruction team.

As of Wednesday night, both O'Connell and Robinson are in critical condition at MCG.
