Trouble on the roads

ALLENDALE CTY, S.C.---The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported a deadly wreck Thursday morning in Allendale County. It was reported on Feed Lot Rd. at 6:28 am. A woman driving a SUV went off the road and the vehicle flipped. She was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

The coroner has now identified her as 27-year old Pamela Thompson.
She worked at the Allendale Correctional Institution and was on her way to work at the time.

Also, a church bus crashed and overturned in Pickens County Wednesday night. Eight children on the bus and the driver were injured.

The young people were returning to Lakeview Baptist Church at the time.

One child was reported in critical condition at a Greenville hospital. Children taken there ranged in age from 9 to 13.

The Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
