And while thousands are in dc to re-live that special day--one woman has a piece of history right here in Augusta. News12 spoke to her on Saturday and saw the original paper program from the historic speech she kept it for two reasons. First, to never forget where she came from but more importantly to honor her brother who was there for the speech and helped the movement--right here in Georgia.
