One-cent education tax approved in Richmond Co.

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- News 12 has learned Richmond County voters have passed a one-cent tax to go toward education.
The measure will generate about $100 million for Richmond County Schools.
With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, the measure passed with almost 73 percent of the vote.
