ATLANTA (AP) — High schools across the state are hosting events to help seniors apply to college.
November is the month that application and financial aid processes begin for most Georgia students. It's been dubbed Georgia "Apply to College Month," with events in nearly 200 high schools reaching nearly 43,000 students.
Community volunteers and state employees work with students to help them complete and submit online applications to the state's colleges and universities and to fill out financial aid applications. Last year, volunteers helped submit almost 6,000 college applications.
