AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Anyone with questions about the Georgia Health Sciences University and Augusta State University consolidation can attend one of four town hall meetings.
The meetings are scheduled for this Thursday with two at ASU and two at GHSU. GHSU President Richard Azziz and ASU President William Bloodworth Jr. will be at the meetings to discuss the approval by the Board of Regents of the consolidation.
The merger of ASU and GHSU is one of four consolidations that is being proposed. The consolidation would begin immediately with a target date of fall 2013 for full integration. The next steps would be the appointment of a broad-based implementation work group.
The forums are scheduled as follows:
-7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the Lee Auditoria Center at GHSU
-11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre at ASU
