RICHMOND CTY., Ga. -- The IDEA program for elementary students is held at four locations in the county. One of those is Sue Reynolds Elementary which lost power due to the storms and still does not have power back.
To make sure the students at Sue Reynolds do not lose time, those students will take their classes at Diamond Lakes Elementary Friday.
If a student rides the bus to Sue Reynolds, the bus will pick them up as they normally do and take them to Diamond Lakes. The bus will again pick up the students at Diamond Lakes at the end of the day and take them home.
If a child's parent usually drops them off at Sue Reynolds, they can still do that. A bus will be waiting at Sue Reynolds to leave for Diamond Lakes with those students at 9:00 a.m. The students will then be returned to Sue Reynolds at 3:00 p.m. to be picked up by their parents.
