UPDATE | Honda driver charged in school bus accident

HEPHZIBAH, Ga. (WRDW) -- A school bus accident in Richmond County involved a bus carrying several Willis Foreman Elementary School students, the Richmond County School System said.

The accident was on Windsor Spring Road at Patrick Avenue, dispatch said. One male student with minor injuries was taken to the hospital by his parents.

A 19-year-old female driving a Honda didn't see the bus stop and hit the front of the car into the back of the bus, the school system said.

The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital by ambulance for minor injuries. The driver of the Honda will be charged with following too closely, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said.

The accident happened at 3:30 p.m. involving bus #278. There were 52 children on the bus and only one complained of injuries, the Richmond County Sheriff's Office said.
