RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW) -- A teacher at Sue Reynolds Elementary resigned after admitting to allegedly ignoring her students reports of bullying.

Annette Mayo, a teacher at Sue Reynolds Elementary School, says she saw bullying in her classroom and did not report it, according to an incident report.

The report also said Mayo told the first grade student who was trying to report the bullying to "Stop being a tattletale" and to "Sit down. It is quiet time."

The principal said she did not know about the incident until the child's parent came forward on March 4.

A probate court judge said there wasn't enough to move forward with criminal charges.
