RICHMOND CTY., Ga. -- The NJROTC program at Glenn Hills High School has once again won the Augusta Chapter of the Military Order of the Worlds Wars Community Service Program Award.
The award is given to the best JROTC Community Service Program in the CSRA for the 2010-2011 school year. The projects they participated in included visits to the VA Medical Center and monthly visits to Golden Harvest and Augusta Hills Nursing Home. They raised $575 for Augusta Urban Ministries and the March of Dimes, participated in the Gracewood State School and Hospital Tree Lighting and Spring Ball and served as ushers at the Imperial Theater.
