NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- A local high school principal has been put on administrative leave.

Last week, trustees at Fox Creek High School put Dr. Tim Murph on administrative leave with pay but are not saying the reason behind it.

Murph will continue to receive full pay and benefits during the ongoing investigation.

The Fox Creek High School Board of Directors released this statement:
"On May 7, 2013, The Board of Trustees of Fox Creek High School, voted to place Dr. Murph on administrative leave with full pay and benefits effective immediately and until rescinded by the Board of Trustees. This is a confidential personnel matter that is being handled by the Board's attorneys. We appreciate the concerns of those in the community, and ask that they be patient and respect the investigative process going."
