AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Richmond County Board of Education said Superintendent Frank G. Roberson will be returning to work on a limited basis during an announcement Tuesday.
Roberson suffered an Arteriovenous Malformation in February of this year. He continues to recover and doctors are allowing him to return to work on a limited basis. Initially, he will work six to eight hours a week with supervision and assistance. While working, he will continue his scheduled outpatient therapy services.
The school system will consult with Roberson’s health care and disability insurance carrier providers to consider the gradual increase in his hours and duties.
During his first weeks, he will be participating in structured and scheduled events such as cabinet and staff meetings, professional learning sessions and other scheduled events. There is no definite timetable to the plan; adjustments will be made as he improves.
