Dr. David Mathis, who had served as assistant superintendent in Edgefield County, was the other candidate being considered.

Rice-Crenshaw is the current superintendent in Clarendon County. She has 14 days to accept her new position.

The Edgefield County School Board has OFFICIALLY blackened the county and school district as a whole. It will only be a matter of time before the state will be TAKING OVER the schools and Edgefield's children will have to pay the price. I attend meetings and am supportive to the STUDENTS and I WILL NOT be intimidated by those who have no clue on how to run a school district with "intestinal fortitude"!
