Charles Nagle has spent the past eight years working under retired superintendent Tommy Price. He's familiar with the system and what can only be described as a fast growing county. Nagle says, "I'm pretty familiar with what it's like to open the first day of school, the responsibility now as superintendent does make it a little different."

Nagle just recently signed a three year contract with the Columbia County school board. He says he's looking forward to the days ahead. "I'm very proud to be a part of the school system with this type of academic heritage."

It's a responsibility Nagle says he doesn't take lightly. The Columbia County school system is growing at a rate of one school per school year for the next 3 years. Superintendent Nagle calls the growth a sign of progress. He says, "We just thank everyone for their continued support of our school system."
