As I have stated before, we do not censor opinions on this site. The only time we may remove a post or a part of a post is if it contains libel, profanity, or hate speech.

I have posted every comment for this story that I have received.

There are a few things that might be happening:

    1) You actually commented on a different story. There are several stories on this subject.
    2) You used the old comment form to submit your comments. If you kept this page open while the old comment form was still on it and tried to submit comments that way, your comments would have been lost.
    3) There is something wrong with the new commenting feature. Our IT people say they can find no problems with it, so if there is indeed an issue I will have to prove it to them. If you can eliminate the first two possibilities, then I request that you email me the following information:

    A) What operating system and browser you are using.
    B) When you submitted your comment.
    C) What you saw on the page when you made your submission.

    My email address is heather.meadows@wrdw.com.

WRDW must be squelching these comments to end the offensive against Petersen. I know that I wrote several comments on th is after the board meeting that were never printed. I see two more. I have been out of town for 2 weeks, and there is nothing new. Petersen probably thinks people have lost interest, but while out of town, I met two people from Thomson that I did not know. They too were disgruntled. I had never met them, but when they found out I was from Thomson, their next question was where did I stand on the issue. They also told me that there has been some overt racial discrimination, and for Laurie Ott to ask Petersen about the black teachers from Alabama who applied to the school systemj and were never even given an interview. It's not that they were not qualified, it is that they were not the right color. They also said to evaluate the black/white teacher ration before and after Petersen if she wanted facts. They also assured me that there would be black candidates running against any board member who supported Petersen in this issue. The people are still mad, they just have been quieted in this forum.

The policy does not say anything about contacting the sup. secretary. It just says you must sign in prior to the meeting. I wonder if this is a new rule?
