United States Attorney Lisa Godbey Wood announced today that her office has assembled a package of materials focused on School Safety.
“The recent incidents of school violence across the country are horrific. Our office has assembled a list of websites that interested administrators, teachers and parents can consult,” Wood said.
Resources include “Threat Assessment in Schools: A Guide to Managing Threatening Situations and to Creating Safe School Grounds.” This guide was a collaborative effort between the United States Secret Service and the United States Department of Education.
Also included are Department of Justice publications “A Guide to Safe Schools” and “The Appropriate and Effective Use of Security Technologies in U.S. Schools.” These materials are available online at the following websites:
