A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School will be accepting applications for grades nine and 10 for the 2006-07 school year.
Applications will be available Jan. 5 through Feb. 17 at the school, 1324 Laney-Walker Blvd.
The school was named a 2003 No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School.
Applications can be picked up from 7:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. weekdays.
Calling all scholars! C.T. Walker Traditional Magnet School will be accepting 2006-2007 applications for grades K-8 beginning January 5, 2006 until February 16, 2006, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily. Applications should be picked up at the school's main office located at its temporary location, 3015 Walton Way (old Forest Hills School location adjacent to Langford Middle School). All eligible students who successfully apply during the application period will have an equal opportunity for placement through a lottery process.
Children applying for Kindergarten placement must turn five on or before September 1, 2006 and complete a readiness assessment March 11, 2006 to determine eligibility for the program.
Please note that grades 4-8 still maintain a waiting list from previous years. Also, all students not accepted to the program in grades K-3 must reapply each year to be eligible for placement in the upcoming school year.
