AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- We've got more good news about more possible jobs and only News 12 can tell you about it.

We've learned a company is interested in opening a business at the Port Royal building in Downtown Augusta.

Part of it used to be home to Fort Discovery. There are some condos inside as well.

Sources tell News 12 the company is service oriented and could bring 500-800 jobs to Downtown Augusta.

"There's not a final announcement to make on that. I sure hope we do move forward and that happens.It would be incredible for our downtown and also our economic development."

No final decision has been made and details are being worked out.
