The Augusta National is not the only busy golf course in town. Reservations are being made at the city's only Municipal Golf Course known as The Patch.

City leaders say there is no comparing Augusta National with "The Patch. "They would like to try to duplicate their success through a partnership with a local non-profit.

You can see Tiger Woods, Bubba Watson and Jack Nicklaus at Augusta National. At the patch, you're more likely to to run into Andre, Bernard and Robert. "The Municipal Course is for everybody. You don't have to be a millionaire to be out here," said Golfer Robert Freese.

"It's really an unknown secret if city leaders could ever get the greens right. It's really a hard course," said Golfer Bernard Wright.

The Patch has just about everything Augusta National does. Their greens are a little faded, the flowers could use some water and the grass at the patch is higher.

"It's in great condition. It's a great course to come out and play on. It doesn't matter if you're 16 or 60," said Golfer Corey Woods.

"Most of your big golf courses, they have huge greens and they're perfect. Everything is in order but you won't find that at The Patch," said Golfer Andre Lacey.

Commissioner Alvin Mason says that could change. He is waiting to hear the First Tee's plans to manage The Patch. A group from Scotland , the Kelly Brothers and Virginia Beach Management all wanted a swing, but they couldn't quite make par.

"I don't believe those things were done appropriately. They were done with just a few people in mind," said Mason. He says with improvements the course could host tournaments and bring more money to the city.

"You're talking about sleeping in our hotels, eating in our restaurants and buying from our sporting goods stores," said Mason.

You don't need badges or special invites, The Patch is the course anyone can play.
