"This is great news for the entire South Augusta area," said Commissioner Alvin Mason.

Come this time next year the Windsor Square will look a lot different. A Chick-fila and Krispy Kreme Doughnut is being built in the plaza.

"We are in what they call South Augusta. This area gets left out and more people go to West Augusta," said Heath.

The developer Hull Storey Gibson is changing the landscape of Windsor Square. Every building between Dollar General and the post office will be torn down along with the empty stores on the other side of the post office. They'll landscape the empty spaces and add more lighting.
