AUGUSTA, Ga. -- A decision has come down from the Mayor's Office on the prayer breakfast situation.
Mayor Deke Copenhaver has volunteered to allow the organization, coordination and promotion of the Mayor's Prayer Breakfast to be conducted exclusively by private sponsors.
The breakfast will be listed as a "community prayer breakfast" in order to avoid the appearance of city endorsement."
