AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- Augusta Commissioners will decide on Monday whether or not to call Downtown Augusta a slum.
City leaders will consider that in order to gain $40 million dollars in state funding.
In order to qualify the city would need to designate Downtown Augusta an Urban Redevelopment Area.
The finance committee will also have a discussion about the 2014 budget and commissioners will also receive updates on the progress of the convention center.
