AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The manager of Augusta Public Transit is facing some tough allegations. Several fired bus drivers told commissioners they were wrongfully terminated and mistreated by McDonald Transit Manager Quentarus Brown.

The former Human Resource Manager says she quit after Brown made advances toward her. Brown stayed silent as he got on the elevator, but several former employees had a lot to say.

"I'm shedding light on this general manager," fired bus driver Alicia Waters said.

"We're standing in the gap for those that still work there," fired bus driver Spur Gasper said.

Former Augusta Public Transit employees spoke with Augusta Commissioners about their treatment since McDonald Transit took over last summer.

One of the biggest accusations came from Brown's former HR Manager Mia Johnson.

"It made me feel dirty," said Johnson.

She says weeks after McDonald Transit got the job unwanted advances started from her boss Brown. Johnson said after she turned him down several weeks later she was written up and demoted. She quit shortly after.

"Every day he would come in and make comments to me about what I'm wearing," Johnson said. "When someone notices what you're wearing that closely they are watching you."

City leaders told the handful of employees that because an outside company runs the day-to-day operation, there's nothing they can do.
