COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. -- Commission members are about to start the search for a new executive director for the Board of Elections.
News 12 has learned current director Debbie Marshall has stepped down as she focuses on her health.
Back in June, News 12 told you Marshall was recovering from surgery to remove a tumor.
Marshall ran the Board of Elections Office for 28 years.
The commission plans to honor her staff during their meeting for their work during her absence.
