AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- While there was a lot of good news to talk about at the presidential address, there were some topics Dr. Ricardo Azziz would not discuss. He kept quiet on an investigation by the Georgia Board of Regents that started on Tuesday.

They're actually calling it a review. The Board of Regents will look into whether he misused school resources for a wedding at his state-funded home.

"I think he covered a lot of points in his speech about all the things that have gotten done in the last 100 days," said Mayor Deke Copenhaver.

Azziz talked for more than 40 minutes on good things but kept quiet on everything else.

News 12 wanted to know why he asked for the Board of Regents to come and investigate the wedding situation.

"We're actually not going to answer that. We are awaiting on an assessment. Those questions I'm not going to answer today," Azziz said.

In the past 100 days, ASU's logos were erased from school brochures, plans were made but not approved for a $75,000 update to the president's garage and an investigation was launched into a weekend wedding on school property. We're told school resources like officers and a shuttle bus were used.

"We're talking about today's talk. Any other discussion?" Azziz said.

If it wasn't in his speech, you better believe it was off limits.

News 12 also asked why school resources were used to pick up his children around two years ago.

"Anything else?" Azziz said.

News 12 had more questions like: Whose idea was it to erase ASU's logo from the pamphlet?

"Any other questions about today's talk?" Azziz said.

He went on to say using the Mills for expansion was a game-changer. Really just about the only question he answered came from a News 12 viewer's Facebook post.

The viewer wanted to know if he feels this community has accepted him.

"We are achieving great things at this university. It's an amazing experience for all of us involved," Azziz said.
