AUGUSTA (WRDW) - The special election for Georgia's House District 127 continues today.
When last month's votes were tallied, retired Army officer Brian Prince had a commanding lead. However, his 45 percent of the vote wasn't enough to secure his victory.
A runoff is now set for today that will pit Prince against second place vote-getter, Pastor Diane Evans, who finished with 30 percent of the vote.
Dianne Murphy, who was running to replace her late husband, Quincy Murphy died in July, finished a close third with 26 percent, but will not be on the December ballot.
Early voting began November 18th.
