AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW) -- The employee who sits in the administration's chair will have 10 different bosses.
One of those in charge is in the process of trying to get all emails sent and received from former City Administrator Fred Russell's computer.
"Who in the hell wants to come work here under those conditions? It's exactly where we're coming to and the rubber meets the road," Commissioner Joe Jackson said.
The City's IT department are pulling records from Russell's hard rive to give to Commissioner Marion Williams. Commissioners say these kind of antics are not good when you're looking to hire.
"To be honest with you, it really hurts our government when potential candidates are streaming live and watching the news and seeing, You got commissioners wanting their hard drive," said Jackson.
"You can see everything and read everything. I'm quite sure that their will be people that want to come here but will not come because of this," Commissioner Bill Lockett said.
The candidate must have 10 years work experience, a masters in business and Public Administration along with the ability to balance a $600 million dollar budget. Commissioner Lockett wanted to finalize things this week while others thought differently.
"It's going to have to go through the committee process and then it has to go back through the commission process. It's going to be two weeks of wasted time, " Lockett said.
"I'm not overly concerned about it first and foremost. We do want to do it effectively and efficiently as possible. At the same time we have a qualified person in the seat now," Commissioner Alvin Mason said.
