AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta commissioners voted to reject the bid protest filed by Aetna Wednesday night.
The company filed the protest after Blue Cross Blue Shield won the bid to provide health insurance for county workers.
Aetna also filed a restraining order against the contract that a judge denied on Friday.
There will be another hearing this coming Friday to determine if another restraining order against the process will be carried out. This all comes after concerns were raised about an intimate relationship between a consultant for the city and a worker at Blue Cross Blue Shield.
