NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. (WRDW) -- The call it a win-win situation for the city to keep criminals from stealing your belongings.
On Thursday, North Augusta leaders got together on how to move forward with installing security cameras along the Greeneway.
Right now, they're targeting parking lots but are looking at how to expand coverage to the community center parking lots and playgrounds.
The camera company they are working with has agreed to install one camera for free so they can compare its picture quality with the cameras that are already installed at the activities center.
The director of Parks, Recreation and Leisure is hoping to give the council a proposal to pay for cameras in March.
