AIKEN CTY, S.C.---Three towns in the Valley--Graniteville, Vaucluse and Warrenville--may become one. But before they do, there are lots of details that have to be worked out.
Tonight was the final meeting before they petition to get a referendum on the ballot. They want voters to make an informed decision.
News 12 talked to one committee officer who told us why this is an important decision to make.
"So we can improve the life of our community and also preserve the history in the textile towns," Ronald Wood said.
Supporters say the smaller towns will have a stronger identity and better quality of life if they join together.
They're hoping for a vote on the plan by early 2008.
