AUGUSTA,Ga---The annual Red Carpet Tour brought 24 company executives to Augusta. The city hopes they will leave with a desire to come back and bring new business and jobs.

"You can't find too many better stops than Augusta," said Scott Scriven who is president of Weber Inc.

Scriven was one of 24 executives who was greeted with applause.
Scriven insisted the event was more than a fun outing.

"I think if you are serious about business that you have to be serious about looking at Georgia," said Scriven. "You've got an extremely business friendly state here."

Scriven admits he has a sweet spot for Augusta.

"Yes," said Scriven as he pointed to his Masters apparel. "I do."

"I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it," said Scriven about entering Augusta National.

He was part of a diverse group that included members from Argentina and Canada. Keep in mind the Masters brings in $100 million a year for the local economy.

"I don't think you can overstate the impact that having the Masters every year in Augusta has on our city," said Augusta mayor Deke Copenhaver who spoke about Augusta in a live interview on Bloomberg TV.

"There is no other city in the world that hosts a golf major each and every year," said Copenhaver. "I'm leveraging that to bring in new business not just this week, but every week."

The Red Carpet Tour recently attracted companies like T. Mobile and Teleperformance who brought as many as 350 jobs to Augusta.
The latest group spent Thursday in Augusta and will return Saturday.
