AIKEN CTY, SC - State Rep. Bill Clyburn (D)-Aiken has filed paperwork to run for the state senate seat vacated by Tommy Moore. He says his platform isn't too different from his successful campaigns for the statehouse.

Rep. Clyburn said, "My platform has always been centered on getting a quality education, economic development and improving public safety and making sure we have safe neighborhoods."

Others who say they're running include Edgefield lawyer Shane Massey and North Augusta realtor Bill Hixon. The election to fill the seat is November 6.
