AUGUSTA, Ga---Hundreds of people gathered outside Augusta's municipal building Tuesday morning joining Mayor Deke Copenhaver for prayer. Those present joined hands and circled the building for a few moments of silent prayer.

The Mayor says he organized the prayer rally after recent controversy surrounding the commission.

He says the large crowd present should send a message that the majority of the community is ready to move Augusta forward. Copenhaver says he expects to see a noticeable difference in Tuesday's commission meeting because of the prayer. The meeting starts at 2pm.

In the meeting, city leaders are set to discuss the action taken to censure Commissioner Calvin Holland two weeks ago.
