Georgia school system considers Bible classes

Another Georgia school system is looking at offering Bible classes.

Barrow County in northeast Georgia approved forming a committee to study whether or not to start offering Bible classes as early as next school year.

A recent survey shows about half of the students in that district would be interested in taking Bible courses, and less than half of the teachers would be willing to teach them.

The Muscogee County school board in Columbus, Georgia is also considering offering a Bible course as an elective. They'll vote on that next week. is happy to provide a forum for commenting and discussion. Please respect and abide by the house rules:
