Augusta, GA---The Augusta Mall bus route will now have two buses for a 90 day trial period beginning in March. The second bus will begin its service at 6:30AM at the Transfer Facility and run until 10:30AM and then resume service at 2:30PM until 6:30PM. This change will be effective March 3, 2008. Initial reports suggest this service would run Monday-Friday.

Correction: The bus is not just added, it's being restored to what it was before. Both Washington Rd. and Augusta Mall had these 2nd buses during peak morning and afternoon hours. Then the 2nd buses were cut. Washington Rd. had the bigger number of people standing in the aisles so they got their 2nd bus back pretty quick. Augusta Mall riders just finally got back the 2nd bus. Now let's hope this gets the bus back on schedule at all times.
