COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) -- A former Republican National Committee member says he is airing a television ad that says Senator Lindsey Graham is "too liberal."
Lexington orthodontist Buddy Witherspoon announced the spot today. It opens with images from the U.S.-Mexico border, including protesters carrying "Secure Our Borders" signs. A man and woman say: "Muchas gracias, Lindsey Graham."
An announcer says Witherspoon should be elected "because Lindsey's too liberal for South Carolina."
The ad was released to coincide with South Carolina's Republican presidential primary Saturday. The GOP primary for Graham's seat won't be held until June.
