Augusta, GA---"We are scared, but I don't know what to do." Usha and Kriss Dave have lived in the Hudson Trace subdivision for 8 years. The last 4 years a nightmare they say with Club Dreams moving right in their back yard. A recent shooting at the club Christmas morning left two men in the hospital.

"The club is right behind our fence so, shooting it can go anywhere." Club Dream's owner is speaking out saying things are about to change. He is announcing a possible new location along Damascus Road called Club Love. It would be new rules collared shirts a must...no one under 23 allowed. "21 don't make you an adult, our goal is to make sure people dress better, raise the age, give them time to mature a little bit," says the club's owner.

The move is music to the Dave's ears. "It's about time...yes sir." The club's owner calls it all unfortunate. Four men were arrested in connection with the club shooting. Three of them were under age 23. "We have opened our arms to the younger ones 21 and older but that's where you have most of your problem...the younger ones that haven't matured."

As for the future of Club Dreams the owner says it's days are numbered. "It would have to cease because you can't change what you've had for 4 years and ask an individual to change. You have to change the whole clientele."

I have been to that club before when they had like four or five different types of Clubs under one roof and it seemed to be better at that time they catered to the older crowd and it was nice. I am 31 years old and I went back a second time at the time when I first went I was 28 and I went back not long ago I was in there maybe about 15 minutes and left because it was a disgrace. Closing it would be fine cause the problem comes when people in the streets bring there beef to the club and it go down that way. The owner is only looking at what bring the fast money and that group does they say 21 but if you check ID at door why not Frisk check for weapons males and females. Females slip weapons in for males I've seen it before and it does go down that way. If the owner will take tighter control on security and as big as the parking lot is he will be fine.

The commsioners had the responsibilty to shut this club down before this latest shooting took place, but they failed to do so. The Police saw this coming but allowed it to happen. I think the residents need to sue the city for allowing this type of behavior to continue.
