Updated: 09/09/2014 - Veterans and veteran groups converged at Augusta's Charlie Norwood Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. They met as part of a series of town halls that are being scheduled by the Veterans' Administration. It is part of a promise made by the agency following years of preventable deaths and delays.

Her husband Ronnie Lee Jones is back in jail on that aggravated assault charge. He had been released just hours before the incident happened early Friday morning. But there is technology that can alert victims when suspects are released from jail.
