12 On Your Side: Appliance Land could be closing

News 12 at 6 o'clock / Friday, Feb. 1, 2013

MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW-TV) -- A well-known longtime business on Washington Road closed its doors today.

A handwritten note taped to the door left little information for customers of Appliance Land. The business has been in the area for more than 30 years.

An employee told News 12: "It appears we are going out of business, but we are not sure."

He says something came up and they are trying to work through it. In the meantime, he says the store will stay closed but they will make deliveries next week.

Customers with orders are urged to call (706) 737-0309.

The longtime owner of Appliance Land recently passed away.
