Club Car recalls 600 golf carts due to fuel leaks

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Club Car, based in Augusta, says there are 600 golf carts out there with fuel tank problems.

The company says the tank's seam can separate, letting fuel leak out and causing a fire hazard.

Club Car says it's happened three times so far, but nobody has been hurt.

Description: This recall involves following 2011 Precedent golf cars. The model and serial numbers are located above the passenger's side floor board. "Club Car" is printed on the front of the golf cars.

Remedy: Consumers should stop using the recalled golf cars and contact Club Car for a free inspection and replacement of the fuel tank. The firm is directly contacting consumers who purchased the golf cars.
