About 800,000 Chinese-made toys are being recalled by Mattel. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the toy recall late Tuesday. This involves Fisher-Price brand toys and several Barbie accessory toys, all for containing excessive levels of lead paint.

The recalled items include:

About 675,000 Barbie accessories, sold between October 2006 through August of this year. This does not include the Barbie doll, just the accessories.

About 8,900 Fisher Price Big Big World 6-in-1 Bongo Band toys, sold between July 2007 through August 2007.

The recall also includes 90,000 units of Mattel's Geo Trax Locomotive toys. These toys were sold from September 2006 through August 2007.

These toys are hazardous because the surface paints on the toys contain excessive levels of lead. Parents should immediately take the toys away from their children and contact Mattel and Fisher-Price for instructions on returning the toys.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling 400 NettoCollection Moderne and Loft Cribs. These cribs are hazardous because the crib slats can seperate from the side rails, which could lead to young kids getting their heads stuck. The cribs were sold from October 2003 through June 2005.

Finally, about 500 Jubee Bunk Beds are on the recall list due to several incidents where the upper bunk collapsed. The bunk beds were sold from December 2004 through April 2006.
