If you've bought any plastic Fisher-Price toys in the last couple of months, you're going to want to get them away from your kids.

Fisher-Price is recalling nearly a million toys sold between May and August because the company says there is too much lead in the paint on them.

The recall involves 83 brands including some popular ones like Big Bird, Elmo and Diego.

The company says the plastic preschool toys were made by a Chinese vendor that the company has been using for a long time.

This will raise concerns about the safety of Chinese made products.

You may remember the massive pet food recall a few months ago that was blamed on tainted Chinese wheat gluten.

12 On Your Side did contact Toys 'R Us on Thursday and a spokesperson says all the recalled toys have been pulled from their shelves.

If your child chews on the toys or somehow ingests some of the paint, they could end up getting lead poisoning.

If you have any of the recalled toys, you should call the company directly at 1-800-916-4498.
